In September 2003, twenty three members of the Fairfax Battalia took part in a weekend 26 mile hike through the Elan Valley in Wales, marching in full kit and making their own camp overnight. It was popularly (?) known as the 'Death March'! The following pictures give something of a flavour of the event which was both exhausting and satisfying in equal measure!!  Special thanks are owed to the back-up team whose efficient organisation was a great boost to confidence (although everyone who started made it to the end).  Through sponsorship and an en route collection, £1,200 was raised for Air Ambulance.
