In June 2002 units of the Roundhead Association (including the Fairfax
Battalia) and the King's Army of the English Civil War Society took part in a re-enactment of the battle of
Brentford in November1642 at the multi-period 'London Historical Action
Spectacular' at Hounslow, organised by EventPlan.
At the original battle, the Parliamentary army was decimated by the Royalists, who caught them by surprise. London was only saved from Royalist occupation by the mobilisation of the London apprentices at Turnham Green. |
