The Soldier's Snapsack: Sewing Kit

Clothes would be repeatedly repaired.  Soldiers would either mend  their own garments or pay one of the 'camp followers' to do so. This snapsack contains a roll of pins and needles, spools of linen thread and spare buttons.

The New Model Army was deeply religious and the soldiers were issued with  a 'Soldier's Bible' containing key texts to inspire them.
